About The Position
AdvanTec Marine is looking for an experienced and energetic Fabricator 2 to join our Doors department in Chilliwack, BC. AdvanTec Marine is growing and there are opportunities to grow with the company. Our Fabricator 2’s have a starting wage range of $23-$28 per hour based on experience and an assessment during the interview stage. Increases are then reviewed throughout employment.
Requirements
- High school education
- 2-5 years’ experience in a related field
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Manual dexterity and able to lift 50lbs
- Basic mechanical and math skills
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of assembly and fabrication an asset
Responsibilities
- Reading and analyzing blueprints and engineered drawings to correspond with the required metal cuts.
- Using a variety of power tools to make the necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units.
- Analyze blueprints and drawings to assess materials needed
- Plan the sequence of tasks to fabricate products
- Operate light machinery, including grinders, sanders, cordless drills, and a variation of saws
- Install fabricated components in the final product
- Monitor quality of assembly & fabrication
- Adhere to all safety standards and SOP’s
