Fabrication Technician – Shears & Press Brake Operator
About The Position
ICE Western Sales is seeking a Press Brake Operator to join their dynamic manufacturing team. This role is responsible for fabricating sheet metal components used in custom HVAC equipment, requiring precision, technical expertise, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced industrial environment. ICE Western Sales has been at the forefront of manufacturing highly complex custom HVAC units for global commercial and industrial markets since 1991. Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate fabrication equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to handle loads up to 23 kilograms
Nice To Haves
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or HVAC shop environment
- Forklift and crane operation experience
- Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings, technical drawings, and specifications
- Cut, notch, bend, and form metal stock into components
- Operate metalworking equipment including: Press Brake, Shear, Notcher, Forklift (asset)
- Clean, maintain, and lubricate machinery and tools
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards
- Complete projects within tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Support a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment
