About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabrication Technician - Powder Coat, Weekend Shift. The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour. The hours are Friday through Sunday from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role includes a weekend shift premium, providing 40 hours of pay for a 36‑hour schedule. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, drawings, or operating instructions.
  • Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Experience working with Eaton systems, including DMM and AS400.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading materials onto the powder‑coat line and may also operate the powder‑coat booth.
  • Applying powder to parts according to customer specifications.
  • Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets all quality and customer standards.
  • Maintaining high performance to achieve production and quality targets.
  • Fostering a safe, engaged, and inclusive workplace by following all company policies, using required personal protective equipment, operating equipment safely, and completing assigned 5S tasks.
  • Using travel documents, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions to load, unload, set up, and operate the powder‑coat line.
  • Maintaining expected progress within your assigned area and communicating any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and conducting root‑cause analysis when quality or production challenges occur.
  • Verifying product quality by measuring finished parts using tape measures and/or calipers, performing visual inspections, identifying nonconforming components, and troubleshooting defects.
  • Cross‑training in additional tasks and providing support to other team members or functions as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.
