About The Position

Cadrex is searching for a Powder Coat Technician I who will be responsible for preparing substrates for the powder application process including hanging, washing, plugging, scrubbing, taping, and sanding parts. This role involves performing oven and wash bay procedures, maintenance, and operations, operating a forklift, and completing light maintenance. The technician will also be responsible for reporting quality, process, equipment, and material issues to the Supervisor, packing parts for shipping, and complying with safety regulations. Continuous training and knowledge retention for the powder application process are expected, along with detecting and reporting defective materials. Maintaining a clean work area and equipment, performing quality inspections, and demonstrating continuous improvement in safety and quality standards are key aspects of the position. The role also requires meeting attendance policy standards and assisting in other work areas as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, memos, and simple instructions
  • Knowledge of basic business math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • High School diploma

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ experience in related setting may be substituted in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

  • Perform oven and wash bay procedures, maintenance, and operations
