About The Position

Dalton Ag is a brand forged in America’s heartland and proud to be the premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer since 1996. As a paint/powder coating technician, you will be responsible for sanding, masking, and cleaning parts in preparation for powder coating operations. The technician is also responsible for performing sand-blasting and powder-coating techniques following written and verbal instructions while maintaining safety and quality standards. Requirements

• Ability to learn procedures, tasks, and operations through on-site training from a senior member of the staff.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
• Ability to maintain consistent quality of work performed.
• High school diploma or General education degree.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write and use basic math skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle and feel objects, tools, or control.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds (25), and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Safety glasses.
• Safety-toed shoes.
• Hearing protection.
• Face shields as needed.
• Other PPE as required.

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandblasting, paint, or powder coating metal parts by sanding, masking, and cleaning.
• Complete sand-blasting and powder coat operations within a given time frame and according to written and verbal specifications.
• Inspect components during and after processing to ensure quality standards.
• Assist in maintenance, cleaning, and repair of equipment as assigned.
• Keep all work areas, including the staging area, clean and organized.
• Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.
• Load and unload the blast cabinet.
• Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed.
