Check all material for visual defects to ensure the material is not scratched, dented, bent, etc. Guage work piece to ensure meets drawing specifications before and after machining, as needed, with calipers, micrometers, and other necessary measuring devices. Must stop production and contact team leader when quality problems arise. Deburring with hand tools as necessary, before and after machining. Maintains machinery and equipment in good working condition, i.e. oil, coolant. Maintain a clean and safe work area for all. Good housekeeping is a must. Ensures all applicable safety equipment is in proper working order before operating the CNC machining center, any machine, or performing assembly work. Report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
