About The Position

This position is primarily focused on fabricating parts for small production runs based on customer orders. The role involves performing welds and other related processes in the Fabrication shop, operating press brakes and heavy machinery to form parts, and maintaining a clean work area. The Fabrication Tech/Welder will also assist other shop employees as requested and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma, or GED equivalent needed.
Welding certification required, with minimum testing at shop to occur before hire.
Must possess strong listening and communication skills.
Should be able to multi-task and manage time effectively by setting priorities.
Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and customer service focus in a fast-paced work environment.
Must have ability to operate MIG welders, Shears, and Press Brakes.
Need to have detail oriented and self-starter skill set.
Must possess the ability to work safely in the presence of shop machinery.

Responsibilities

Fabricates parts as ordered including aluminum battery boxes, stainless steel tank straps, tread plate aluminum deck plates, and other parts as necessary.
Performs welds and other processes related to the Fabrication shop as needed.
Operates press brakes & heavy machinery to form parts & product per requirements.
Cleans shop work area as required for safe housekeeping practices.
Assists other Fab shop employees with their orders/jobs as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
