About The Position

RiverStone Group, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, mechanically minded individual to join their quality Fabrication Shop in Rock Island, IL. This position requires the ability to fabricate custom steel products from blueprint to finished product. The role involves working in a fast-paced production environment, with opportunities to perform various shop roles such as welder, CNC plasma cutting table operator, sand-blaster, project fabrication, and assembly. Flexibility and teamwork are vital as you will be using a wide variety of equipment and tools.

Requirements

Ability to fabricate custom steel products from blueprint to finished product
Mechanically minded individual
Skills and experience in welding
Blueprint reading/comprehension
Experience with hydraulic punches and shears
Experience with drill press operations
Experience with band saw set up and use
Attention to detail
Safety-Focused
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to perform physical activities in all weather conditions if needed
Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
Verifiably welding history
Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

Experience in farming
Experience in construction
Experience in carpentry

Responsibilities

Maintaining a clean, orderly work area and complying with all OSHA and company policies/procedures
Following all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
Welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
Positioning, clamping, tack welding work pieces together per print, full weld out or assembling of sub structures.
Operate cnc plasma cutting table after training
Media blasting the fabricated steel pieces as needed
Operate overhead cranes, hoists and forklifts
Communicating with shop management and team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
