About The Position

National Beef of Dodge City, Kansas, is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician to help ensure that beef products meet customer specifications and food-safety requirements. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position. The technician assesses products, supports production employees through training on customer specifications, and works with QA and production management on analysis projects. The role also monitors food safety, employee safety, and compliance with FSIS and food-safety regulations and programs. The technician reports deficiencies to appropriate plant management and takes appropriate action as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer and tablet skills.
Good time-management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

Beef industry experience.
Knowledge of beef products.

Responsibilities

Assess products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Provide ongoing, positive, professional training to production employees regarding customer specifications.
Work with the QA Manager and Production Management on analysis projects.
Help ensure National Beef provides wholesome, food-safe products to customers.
Monitor food safety and employee safety throughout the facility.
Monitor plant personnel and the facility daily for compliance with FSIS and food-safety regulations and programs.
Notify appropriate plant management personnel of deficiencies and take appropriate action as needed.
Perform daily system audits on products.
Assist with other duties as assigned by QA Management.
