About The Position

This position is based in Cargill’s protein and salt business in Schuyler, Nebraska. The Quality Assurance - TS Fabrication Technician B monitors regulatory activities and plant compliance, serves as a liaison between regulatory agencies and plant operations, and acts as a customer interface for product performance, questions, and complaints. The role plans, coordinates, and directs quality, sanitation, regulatory, and food safety programs to meet company, government, and customer requirements. It also includes employee management and collaboration with Corporate Technical Services and other Technical Services managers. This is a full-time, second-shift role paying $26.25 per hour. Relocation reimbursement is not included.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have an acceptable attendance record, at the Company's discretion for internal candidates.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Beef processing experience.
• Quality assurance or supervisory experience.
• Test-and-hold or laboratory experience.
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish or Somali.

Responsibilities

• Monitor FSIS/CFIA regulatory activities and plant compliance with regulatory standards.
• Act as liaison between USDA/CFIA and plant operations.
• Serve as the customer interface with the plant to review product performance and respond to questions and complaints.
• Work with operations to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct quality, sanitation, regulatory, and food safety programs within the establishment to ensure compliance with company, governmental, and customer requirements and expectations.
• Manage employees, including selection, training and development, performance management, and staff efficiencies.
• Review and verify results and communicate with Corporate Technical Services.
• Interface with Corporate Technical Services Directors and other TS Managers within the business unit.
• Collaborate with TS Managers across the platform.
