About The Position

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Fabrication Programmer to program individual parts and create nests, support ordering and production systems, and help improve manufacturing efficiency. The role includes troubleshooting programming and system issues, determining routing for new parts, coordinating with IT and software support teams, and communicating project status to supervisors. Weekend programming support is provided on a rotating basis. The position is performed in a production environment and may involve exposure to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, elevated noise, and dust.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Extensive PC knowledge and experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Windows platform and power-user proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of metal punching, shearing, laser, and brake work, gained through actual operation of forming equipment and programming.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in computer science and/or programming.
• Five or more years of experience with CAD programming/nesting software.

Responsibilities

• Program individual parts and create nests using JetCAM and NC Express.
• Use and administer the DMM ordering system.
• Validate and library parts.
• Implement waste-reduction measures creatively.
• Troubleshoot programming and DMM issues.
• Determine routing for new parts.
• Communicate IT needs to the IT department and follow up.
• Communicate issues and upgrade needs to software support teams.
• Run existing OTC and production reports.
• Provide weekend programming support on a rotating basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate the status of assigned projects to supervisors.
