This role involves installing, maintaining, and operating equipment in various systems, fabricating parts, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the safe and correct operation of all systems. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, or demonstrated ability to understand and apply instructions and perform basic math. Three years of related experience, demonstrated use of measuring devices and tools, and the ability to work from drawings are also required. The typical schedule is Sunday 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday - Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including 2nd shift operations on weekends and overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated use of measuring devices, hand and power tools.
  • The ability to work from drawings, sketches, or layouts.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may need to support 2nd shift operations on the weekends.
  • Ability to work over-time as necessary based on business need.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and operate any equipment in the hydraulic, heating, water, air or gas systems.
  • Suggest the best location and determine method of hook-up for instruments, valves, controls, brackets, supports, (measure, cut form and flare tubing; cut and thread piping), etc., making joints, connections, soldering, brazing and welding as required.
  • Check completed equipment/systems, move and install, make necessary connections, functionally check out to insure safe and correct operation.
  • Build special test equipment for engineering.
  • Maintain/replace various units of test equipment or portions of central systems.
  • Trouble-shoot equipment, replace all faulty components including hydraulic pumps, and work with other machine repair and electrician personnel in maintaining systems.
  • Maintain oil level in various hydraulic systems.
  • Drain, clean, change filters as necessary and report unusual contamination levels.
  • Be observant for unusual conditions and notify supervisor or technical personnel.
  • Use extreme caution to prevent cross contamination by mixing fluids/gases interconnecting systems.
