About The Position

The Fabrication Supervisor is a first-line leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities within the fabrication department. This role focuses on safely coordinating people, materials, and schedules to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards and controlling costs. The supervisor leads by example, supports their team, and ensures smooth operations across the shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related manufacturing or fabrication experience
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate employees in a production environment
  • Strong work record with demonstrated reliability and accountability
  • Good judgment and the ability to handle employee matters with tact and professionalism
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Assign, coordinate, and oversee daily work activities to maximize productivity and meet production targets
  • Supervise hourly employees and manage day-to-day operations of the fabrication area
  • Prepare and maintain shift logs, time sheets, production summaries, and overtime/downtime reports
  • Inspect products and processes to ensure quality and production specifications are met
  • Review production schedules and evaluate material, equipment, and manpower needs
  • Assign employees strategically to maintain quality, efficiency, and output requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend changes to materials, equipment, or processes
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation related to schedules and performance
  • Train and onboard new employees on operating procedures, safety expectations, and quality standards
  • Support a safe, respectful, and accountable work environment
