About The Position

Foundation Building Materials (FBM), together with Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), serves commercial and residential construction markets across the United States and Canada. The organization combines broad distribution capabilities with commercial door, frame, and hardware expertise, and emphasizes operational excellence, innovation, employee development, and customer service. FBM is seeking a skilled Fabrication Door Specialist to inspect, service, install, and repair commercial doors with precision and professionalism. The role calls for technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality and customer service. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The position reports to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

Able to work in a diverse, fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
At least 2 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or a related technical field.
Comfortable using hand and power tools and basic equipment.
Able to read a tape measure, take accurate measurements, and perform basic math.
Able to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications.
Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

Experience with commercial doors, frames, hardware, or similar products.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high level of customer focus while producing quality products and services.
Maintain a full understanding of all products.
Perform small projects as directed by Management.
Maintain basic knowledge of equipment to identify needed repairs.
Read and understand instructions and procedure manuals.
Accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math.
