About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an entry-level Fabrication Associate to join its team. The role involves preparing and maintaining shop machinery, measuring and processing pipe, moving and assembling pipe orders, keeping work supplies organized, and following safety procedures when fabricating, handling, storing, and shipping pipe. The position offers one of two Monday-through-Friday schedules: 5:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Prior fabrication experience is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

Prior fabrication experience.
Experience and training operating machinery for cutting and threading pipe according to OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain machines in the shop for pipe fabrication.
Accurately measure and record pipe lengths and add random pipe length.
Measure and cut pipe with a band saw and/or torch; roll and groove single and double random lengths; and thread and bevel pipe with Landis machines.
Move loose and/or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders, whether in single sticks or bundles, and keep work supplies organized.
Observe safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
