About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an entry-level Fabrication Associate to join its team. The role supports pipe fabrication operations by preparing and maintaining shop machinery, measuring and cutting pipe, assembling orders, and moving pipe within the yard. The associate follows safety precautions and operating procedures when fabricating, handling, storing, and shipping pipe. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Nice To Haves

Prior fabrication experience.
Experience and training operating machinery to cut and thread pipe according to OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain machines in the shop for pipe fabrication.
Measure and record pipe lengths accurately and add random pipe length.
Measure and cut pipe using a band saw and/or torch; roll and groove single and double random lengths; and thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
Move loose and/or bundled pipe between locations within the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders in single sticks or bundles and keep work supplies organized.
Observe safety precautions when fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
