About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an entry-level Fabrication Associate to join its team. The role supports pipe fabrication operations by preparing and maintaining shop machinery, measuring and processing pipe, assembling orders, and safely moving pipe and operating powered industrial equipment. The position offers one of two Monday–Friday schedules: 5:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Prior fabrication experience is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

Prior fabrication experience.
Experience and training operating machinery to cut and thread pipe according to OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain shop machines used for pipe fabrication.
Accurately measure and record pipe lengths and add random pipe length.
Measure and cut pipe using a band saw and/or torch; roll and groove single and double random lengths; and thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
Move loose and/or bundled pipe between locations within the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders as single sticks or bundles and keep work supplies organized.
Observe safety precautions when fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
