About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Fabrication Associate to support pipe fabrication in a shop and pipe-yard environment. The role involves preparing and maintaining machinery, measuring and processing pipe, moving and assembling orders, keeping supplies organized, and following safety procedures when fabricating, handling, storing, and shipping pipe. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Ferguson has approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations.

Requirements

Outstanding math skills and the ability to calculate quantities of product on hand.

Operate powered industrial equipment according to OSHA Safe Operating Guidelines, Forklift Safety Training, and FEI Safety Policies.

Nice To Haves

0–3 years of fabrication experience.
Experience and training operating machinery to cut and thread pipe according to OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain shop machines used for pipe fabrication.
Accurately measure and record pipe lengths, including random lengths.
Measure and cut pipe using a band saw and/or torch; roll and groove single and double random lengths; and thread and bevel pipe with Landis machines.
Move loose and/or bundled pipe between locations within the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders, whether in single sticks or bundles, and keep work supplies organized.
Observe safety precautions when fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
