About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Fabrication Associate to support pipe fabrication in its shop and pipe yard. The role involves preparing and operating fabrication machinery, measuring and processing pipe, assembling orders, moving materials, and following safety procedures for fabrication, storage, and transportation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

Outstanding math skills and the ability to calculate quantities of product on hand.
Ability to operate powered industrial equipment according to OSHA Safe Operating Guidelines, Forklift Safety Training, and FEI Safety Policies.

Nice To Haves

0–3 years of fabrication experience is preferred.
Experience and training operating machinery to cut and thread pipe according to OSHA regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain shop machines used for pipe fabrication.
Accurately measure and record pipe lengths and add random pipe length.
Measure and cut pipe using a band saw and/or torch; roll and groove single and double random lengths; and thread and bevel pipe with Landis machines.
Move loose or bundled pipe between locations within the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders as single sticks or bundles and keep work supplies organized.
Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
