About The Position

Sunset Ford, a cornerstone of the automotive industry since 1912, is seeking a high-performing F&I Manager for its Waterloo, IL location. This role requires a leader who excels in driving PVR & PPR with integrity. While the primary focus is maximizing finance profitability, the position also involves being a key player in the management team, with the ability to assist on the sales desk when needed. The ideal candidate is a closer who thrives on structuring deals and successfully working with lenders.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience as a high-performing Automotive F&I Manager.
• Proficiency in desking deals and appraising vehicles.
• Expert knowledge of DMS systems, menu software, and appraisal tools.
• A commitment to transparency and the "Sunset Ford" way of doing business.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
• Applicants must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Execute a professional menu-selling process to maximize PVR and maintain high penetration rates for VSCs, GAP, and ancillary products.
• Build and leverage aggressive relationships with local and national lenders to secure the best rates and fast approvals for all credit tiers.
• Act as a strategic partner to the sales floor—desking deals, structuring financing options, and performing professional trade-in appraisals to ensure correct inventory ownership.
• Ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations, maintaining 'bulletproof' deal jackets.
• Take personal ownership of Contracts-In-Transit to ensure optimal dealership cash flow.
• Provide 'turns' and coaching to the sales team to improve deal structure and handoff quality.
