The Regional Finance Director will be responsible for monitoring all activities of their respective region’s finance departments and communicating his or her activities to the corporate office. The role involves working with General Managers to maximize the F&I department’s production in PVR & product penetrations, recruiting staff, minimizing turnover, and ensuring all dealerships follow compliance policies, reporting any violations to the GM and corporate office.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all activities of their respective region’s finance departments and communicate activities to the corporate office
  • Work with the GMs to maximize F&I department’s production in PVR & product penetrations
  • Work with the GMs to recruit staff and minimize turnover in your region
  • Ensure dealerships are following all compliance policies and report any violation to the GM and corporate office
  • Provide schedule 2 weeks in advance outlining game plan for activities with a copy to MMD and GM’s concerned
  • Provide a weekly report to the corporate office of activities, accomplishment and observations
  • Check in with GMs upon arrival to store to identify any concerns or needs
  • Check out with GMs to report activities, accomplishment and observations (email if unavailable)
  • Provide a training and observation training recap via email
  • Provide a two week view on Outlook Calendar
  • Run a weekend PVR call weekly
  • Help minimize departmental turnover in respective region
  • Ensure all new hires are trained on all company policies and that they are prepared to perform their job functions
  • Ensure that all F&I managers have completed F&I Certification Class within 60 days of entering department (2 or 5 day class)
  • Ensure that all F&I managers are competent on all computer programs i.e. ADP, JM&A website, Dealertrack, etc.
  • Train product knowledge of all company products i.e. JM&A, Protector, High Mileage VSC etc.
  • Conduct and lead compliance and menu training on a monthly basis
  • Complete “on-boarding checklist” with new staff
  • Organize team training through out the year (boot camp, Director meetings, all staff etc.)
  • Role play & train Interview & Menu
  • Role play & train Flow Chart
  • Role play & train 4 Part Questioning
  • Train on F&I training website
  • Deliver cars with F&I managers present & sit in when they deliver deals
  • Perform structured assignments monthly in identified stores
  • Use audit spreadsheet for 5 deal audits identifying any issues for compliance and training
  • Inform the GM and corporate office of any company policy violations
  • Ensure that all federal and state regulations are being followed i.e. Red Flags, OFAC, Privacy Notice, credit applications, safeguards and RBPN’s
  • Keep current with all HR training and any other training required for this position
  • Ensure that all F&I staff is Files certified
  • Audit all stores in assigned market on a quarterly basis
  • Take TO’S and help make deals
  • Work on consistent desking practices
  • Attend and assist at save a deal meetings
  • Assist with deal flow and any problem deals i.e. unresolved spots or CITs
  • Maintain a good working relationship with our lenders and ensures we are meeting their respective expectations
  • Provide guidance and assistance to office personal whenever necessary
  • Assist with recruiting and retention of staff
  • Help monitor and correct any compensation issues
  • Assist correcting and documenting any disciplinary actions
  • Assist identifying and maximizing any areas of opportunity
  • Assist General Manager monitor and correct any CSI issues
