About The Position

The F&B Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage service, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. This role involves floating across all Front of House (FOH) positions including Hosting, Bartending, Serving, and managing Inventory/Ordering. The supervisor will anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, maintain positive guest relations, and resolve complaints effectively. Key responsibilities include leading and supervising the food and beverage team, ensuring service standards, monitoring food quality, and maintaining knowledge of hotel features, departmental policies, and relevant software systems. The role also involves assisting with F&B inventories, financial transactions, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with Food Safety Hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Fluency in other languages is beneficial.
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy.
  • Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work within POS, PMS, CRM, and other Hospitality-specific software systems.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems and/or conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic math.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous Bartending Experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in food service operations required.
  • Must have State Issued Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Must have State Alcohol Server Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of food and beverage service operations preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
  • Observe guest reactions and confer with team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times and resolve guest complaints.
  • Follow Hotel policies with lost and found items.
  • Adhere to Hotel requirements for guest and team member accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
  • Continuously promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts.
  • Encourage Hotel Scheduled Social Media/5-star compliments or reviews on OTAs.
  • Lead and supervise the food and beverage team, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.
  • Ensure a warm and welcoming environment for guests, overseeing service standards, and addressing guest concerns or feedback promptly.
  • Monitor the quality of service and food presentation to maintain high standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features/services, hours of operation, scheduled in-house group activities, locations, and times.
  • Maintain knowledge of all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of Point of Sale software and Time Management systems.
  • Assist in overseeing all F&B inventories and financial transactions.
  • Oversee cash handling and check/credit policies and procedures.
  • Inspect, plan, and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service.
  • Report all accidents and breakages to the F&B Manager or Executive Chef in charge.
  • Adhere to relevant Food Safety Hygiene standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Coordinate breaks and assign work duties to team members.
  • Assist team members with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
