About The Position

The Food and Beverage Supervisor, under the direction of the F&B Manager, is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, to include interviewing, hiring, coaching and training, scheduling and managing of team members. They would ensure that health and service standards are followed, and efficient service is provided with complete guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must have two years’ experience in hospitality and Food & Beverage industry, including one year lead or supervisory experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Food Handling, Food Health, and Safety regulations.
  • Must be able to identify strategic issues, prioritize workload and identify and develop effective programs to maximize performance.
  • Excellent customer service relations.
  • Must be experienced and sensitive to working with diverse groups of people.
  • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent (required).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Cahuilla Gaming License and submit to random drug/and or alcohol testing.
  • Ability to obtain a California State Driver’s License.
  • Ability to complete necessary Casino Essentials courses to carry out the job responsibilities.
  • Must be Food Handler, RBS and ServSafe Certified (required).
  • TIP Certified (required).
  • Must pass Title 31 (required).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and bar, making sound decisions on matters of importance to guest service and business.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational standards, company policies, and regulatory and agencies compliance.
  • Train all staff on company policies and service standards and trains and enforces front-of-house delivery standards.
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
  • Manage all front-of-house image standards, including cleanliness, professionalism, and appearance.
  • Manage front-of-house staffing, scheduling, and payroll to achieve budget efficiencies.
  • Supervises and enforces consistency of food preparation and delivery service.
  • Audit and monitor food and beverage costs and reconcile month-close reports to assist P&L management.
  • Report waste, portion control, and preparation inconsistencies to Sous Chef and F&B Manager.
  • Maintain point of sale, liquor pour, product procurement and item database systems.
  • Prepare bar and liquor inventory location orders and schedule the delivery of product and supplies to insure location inventory stock required to service peak periods.
  • Perform monthly inventory assessments.
  • Coordinate furniture and equipment inventories and associated purchase requests and repair orders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion and protects the assets and information of the company within the scope of duties.
  • Protect the interest of Cahuilla Casino Hotel.
  • As a representative of Cahuilla Casino Hotel, maintain a positive image at all times.
  • Adhere to any and all reasonable requests to perform duties outside of job description.
  • Ensure all Health Code standards are followed and adhered to.
  • All other duties as assigned by F&B Manager.
