About The Position

This is a seasonal position for the Summer 2026 season at Palisades Tahoe. The F&B Front of House Attendant will be responsible for various customer-facing duties in food and beverage service areas. This includes operating point-of-sale systems, maintaining cleanliness of food service areas and restrooms, managing waste, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Effective communication skills, oral & written.
  • Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company and location grooming policy.
  • Must adhere to all company and location uniform standards.
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Able to remain patient, calm, and composed in a fast-paced, high-volume-demanding environment.
  • Regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear.
  • Capable of walking or standing 80% or more of a typical 8-hour work shift.
  • Capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50lbs.
  • Capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing.
  • Able to climb ladders.
  • Able to shovel snow.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Prior POS experience are strongly preferred.
  • Contribute to the success of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Cashiering and operating point-of-sale systems with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assisting guests with Food & Beverage purchases.
  • Bussing tables.
  • Sorting guest-facing garbage.
  • Cleaning bathrooms and maintaining restrooms to the highest degree of cleanliness.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and product levels within the food court and all areas of the building.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and product levels of water stations and condiment areas.
  • Executing Palisades Tahoe’s waste management program, including recycling, composting, and consumer waste reduction.
  • Acting in a fun and friendly manner to guests and co-workers.
  • Using company values to deliver a great employee and guest experience daily.
  • Washing sinks, picking up trash, cleaning toilets, and stalls.
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas throughout the entire facility.
  • Accommodating guests’ requests as needed.
  • Performing heavy labor, snow removal, hauling trash, and furniture moving.
  • Working at outside venues as required.
  • Providing customers with top-quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Handling cash and credit cards using a PC point of sale system, accurately ringing up items, accepting various forms of payment, coupons, discounts, and giving correct change.
  • Balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift and responsible for safe and accurate cash handling.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized cashier area.
  • Stocking items in the checkout area.
