About The Position

In this position the cashier will assist guests with food and beverage purchases at Point of Sale, embracing the Vail Resorts service culture of: Own it, Elevate it, Personalize it. This role involves quick service speed cash handling, including accepting various forms of payment, coupons, and discounts, and making change correctly. The cashier will be responsible for balancing their till at the end of each shift, ensuring safe cash handling, and maintaining an accurate count. Additionally, the role includes stocking displays and general areas of the food court, which may require lifting cases and moving product both inside and outside. Maintaining the cleanliness of the cashier area and performing general stocking and cleaning duties are also part of the responsibilities. Customer service is key, including resolving issues and assisting guests with questions. The position requires working as part of a team and strong communication skills. Some outdoor work may be required, such as operating sales outside, stocking, snow removal, and moving chairs/tables.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs required, full range of motion.
Basic computer skills required.
3+ months work experience in any field required.
Fluent communication skills, written and spoken, in English required.
Must provide own slip resistant shoes prior to first day in the outlet.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
Prior POS experience strongly preferred (Info Genesis).
F&B specific experience strongly preferred.
ServSafe and TIPS certification preferred.
