About The Position

The Boeing Company's Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering team is seeking a Mid-Level F-22 Systems Engineer to support the F-22 program in Berkeley, Missouri. This role will be focused on Diagnostics and Health Management (DHM) for the F-22 A/C while also supporting the F-22 Reliability and Maintainability team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with Subject Matter Experts, Suppliers, Field Service Representatives and the US Air Force to refine Modernization and Sustainment practices across the entire F-22 fleet.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with reliability calculations and terms (i.e. MTBR, MTBF, MTBM, NMC-M, NMC-S, RTOK)
  • Experience with supply concepts and interface with supply analysis
  • Experience with predictive analysis
  • Experience with aircraft driven fault reporting
  • Experience with Mail Exchange (MX) code generation i.e Atlas database and/or other databases
  • Experience with basic programming, Visual Basic Application (VBA) use with Access and Excel
  • Experience working directly with one, or preferably more, of the following aircraft subsystems: Radar, Life Support, Auxiliary Power Supply, Fire Prevention, Environmental Control Systems
  • Experience with database architecture and Front Ends (i.e. Tableau), Structured Query Language (SQL), block flow diagrams, aircraft maintenance flow activities

Responsibilities

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Performs analysis for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
  • Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues
  • Utilizes data analytics to track trends, coordinate maintenance, and influence parts replacement cycles
  • Works with suppliers, subject matter experts, and field support representatives to identify aircraft availability and health of fleet improvements
