About The Position

In a positive and cheerful manner, support and work alongside doctors to provide an outstanding patient experience. Perform accurate preliminary testing while building rapport with patients to reduce anxiety and help instill confidence in the medical and surgical care they will receive. The position is based at PCLI’s Tacoma clinic. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; it may vary according to the patient schedule and clinic needs. This is a 3/4-time position of 30–39 hours per week, with an hourly salary range of $24.39–$25.95 and no travel.

Detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to work with a team to set and achieve common goals.
Good verbal and written communication skills and legible handwriting.
Keyboarding skills and comfort using Microsoft Word.
Ability to remain composed and professional under stressful circumstances.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Washington Medical Assistant Certification; PCLI will help the employee apply and cover the full cost once hired.
Driving record and background check upon offer of employment.

Responsibilities

Push equipment around the clinic and assist patients with wheelchair movement and transfers into and out of exam chairs.
