About The Position

The Medical Assistant delivers exceptional patient care and supports physicians. Strong people and communication skills are essential, and the role requires flexibility to work in two different locations. The position performs clinical duties within the scope of practice established by New York State laws and regulations and follows practice protocols.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Clinical competency in aseptic techniques, sterilization, practice management systems, EMR, and scheduling protocols.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic keyboard proficiency.
Ability to remain flexible and work in two different locations.
Ability to perform the listed physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Perform clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice and New York State laws and regulations.
Carry out assigned clinical procedures according to practice protocols to support patient comfort and well-being.
Take and record patients’ vital signs.
Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment and supplies according to protocols.
Assist physicians and providers with clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and other patient calls according to practice protocols.
Prepare patient records for visits as directed by the physician or provider.
