About The Position
This position's objective is to pack products in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining the highest quality possible. The role requires a high school graduate or equivalent with good oral and written communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to train on different machinery and lines. The technician must be available for overtime and accommodate non-standard work hours, ensuring consistent and dependable attendance. They should also be capable of managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to train on different machinery and different lines.
- Forklift Operator Certification.
- Willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours.
- Ability to effectively manage job-related stress.
- Ability to foster productive workplace interactions.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all written and verbal safety rules for the plant and department.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Learn how to lace-up equipment.
- Learn all future tasks of the job and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Name and use standard hand tools.
- Perform basic math calculations including addition, division, subtraction, and percentages.
- Read a tape measure down to 1/16 inch.
- Locate and activate all E-stops on the assigned machine.
- Perform daily data entry in the IBS Production System.
