About The Position
The Extrusion Technician C is responsible for packing products in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role requires a willingness to learn and adapt to different machinery and production lines, as well as a commitment to safety and good housekeeping practices.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Available for overtime.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to train on different machinery and different lines.
- Forklift Operator Certification.
- Consistent, dependable attendance.
- Willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours.
- Ability to effectively manage job-related stress.
- Ability to foster productive workplace interactions.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all written and verbal safety rules for the plant and department.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Learn how to lace-up equipment.
- Learn all future tasks of the job and demonstrate continuous improvement during training.
- Name and use standard hand tools.
- Perform basic math calculations including addition, division, subtraction, and percentages.
- Read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16 inch.
- Locate and activate all E-stops on assigned machinery.
- Perform daily data entry in the IBS Production System.
