About The Position

The Extrusion Technician C operates in a safe and efficient manner to be productive, while maintaining high quality product with strict deadlines. This role involves performing routine operations to set up, operate, and adjust multiple polyethylene blown film extrusion lines with conveying and winding equipment to produce integral zipper plastic tubing. The technician will work from prescribed production goals and standards, schedules, manuals, detailed specifications, and consultations with various departments. They will ensure the availability of raw materials, requisition needed items, and collaborate with shift supervisors and team members to establish and achieve production, scrap, and quality goals. Additionally, the role requires performing simple calculations for daily production totals and quality results, and maintaining necessary production, quality, and equipment records.

Requirements

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
• Safety in the Workplace Rules and Regulations training
• cGMP's and SOP's training

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operations required to set up, operate and adjust multiple polyethylene blown film extrusion lines with conveying and winding equipment to produce integral zipper plastic tubing.
• Work from prescribed production goals and standards, schedules, manuals, detailed specifications, consultations with bag department, shift leadership, maintenance, purchasing and others.
• Ensure the availability of raw materials and other requirements and requisition needed items.
• Work with shift supervisor and team members to establish team production, scrap and quality goals and ensure completion.
• Perform simple calculations for daily production totals and quality results.
• Maintain necessary production, quality and equipment records.
