About The Position

The Extrusion Team Lead provides leadership and production support within the Extrusion Department, helping ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent flow of extrusions to other departments. The role sets a positive example and supports the production crew while promoting high standards in safety, quality, productivity, communication, and 5S practices. The Team Lead provides technical and operational support, ensures crew members have the equipment, materials, and supplies needed, coordinates with the Shift Facilitator on scheduling and staffing concerns, and communicates with other departments to support production flow. The position also coordinates special bakes and rack and spacer bar supplies, leads toolbox talks at the start of the shift, and develops working knowledge of all jobs in the department. The position works in a manufacturing environment on the first shift, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Friday and Saturday overtime as needed from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The listed schedule is a 4-day workweek of 40+ hours. Starting pay is competitive based on experience and includes a shift premium.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a skills-based assessment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and understand shop orders and interpret work instructions, safety rules, and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure; understand decimals, fractions, and tolerances; and perform basic math.
Ability to use various quality gauges.
Ability to safely operate banding equipment, an air nail gun, and a radial arm wood saw.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Dependable attendance and no active written warning for attendance.
Willingness and ability to qualify for EO1 and EO2 positions.
Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing or aluminum extrusion experience preferred.
Prior leadership, training, or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Perform additional department-related duties as assigned.
