About The Position

The Extrusion Operator Assistant supports the extrusion operator with basic production tasks and assists with extruder startup operations. The role includes monitoring resin feed, cleaning rollers and machine surfaces, organizing production rolls on pallets, keeping the workspace clean, and delivering samples to the laboratory. The position applies the company’s core values in the work environment and requires working effectively with the team and with minimal supervision. The role reports directly to the Team Lead and, when required, to the Extrusion Coordinator.

Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, where the employee may be exposed to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position requires the employee to have their own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.

Requirements

• Knowledge to assist with operating blown film extrusion machines.
• At least 3 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong communication skills to interact with staff at all levels, including team leads and managers.
• Basic computer skills for operational and communication purposes.
• Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in high- and low-temperature environments.
• Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day.
• Must have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.
• Must use personal protective equipment (PPE).
