About The Position

Responsible for the operator and PM’s of the extrusion line. This role involves meeting production targets, performing quality checks, maintaining the 5S program, and executing various machine setups and changes. The operator must also adhere to all safety procedures and accurately complete required paperwork.

Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate robots and the cutting machine
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to read and use measuring tools
  • Self-motivation
  • Employee must be able to lift, carry push and pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Employee must have the ability to complete the following repetitive tasks: Visual inspections of machinery and products 100%, Color vision 75%, Balance 75%, Hearing 75%, Noise 100%, Wet 10%, Working without assistance 100%, Fine hand manipulation 100%, Pinching fingers movements 100%, Bending 10%, Kneeling 5%, Squatting 5%, Reaching above head 10%, Prolonged standing/walking 100%, Twisting 40%
  • Requires the use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and hardhats.
  • Jewelry is not permitted.
  • Must pass: Pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Background check.

Responsibilities

  • Meet required machine and item efficiencies
  • Perform continuous quality checks
  • Maintain the department’s 5S program
  • Perform PM’s on extrusion lines
  • Takes initiative and performs tasks without being told
  • Perform color changes, length changes, die changes and setup changes
  • Able to accurately fill out all required paperwork on a daily basis
  • Follow all required safety procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
