About The Position

Clayton is a values-driven single-family home builder focused on attainable housing, sustainable practices, and a strong experience for customers and team members. Home Building Team Members perform assigned manufacturing production operations as part of the home-building process. The role follows standard production methods and safe work practices to support efficient production. Production teams ensure homes meet sales orders, prints, specifications, and building codes while maintaining quality standards and working in a timely manner.

Team members work collaboratively to meet production and quality objectives, care for company assets, help keep their assigned areas clean and orderly, and communicate production needs and issues to team leadership. The position may require transferring between departments when necessary.

Requirements

• Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
• Ability to walk, climb, lift at least 50 pounds, and perform other physical duties as needed.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly with other Team Members.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is greatly desired.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work habits and relevant OSHA regulations to support safe and efficient production.
• Work as part of a team to produce products that meet quality standards and productivity objectives.
• Protect company physical assets from damage and misuse, report needed maintenance, and keep the assigned area clean and orderly.
• Assist the Team Leader and Area Coordinator with planning and organizing manufacturing activities.
• Communicate anticipated material shortages, required tool maintenance, and quality or productivity issues.
• Meet attendance requirements and be available to start the shift at the required time, following division attendance rules and regulations.
• Perform assigned manufacturing production operations in the home-building process and help ensure homes meet sales orders, prints, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
