About The Position

Walmart is hiring year-round Exterior Services Technicians in Virginia and Maryland for grounds maintenance, landscaping, power washing, crew driving, and lead technician roles. Exterior Services Landscape Crew Driver Technicians perform year-round landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and pruning. They may travel to multiple locations and safely operate a combination motor vehicle weighing 10,001 to 26,000 pounds, with the required driver’s license or certification. Exterior Services Lead Landscape Technicians lead a team of exterior service technicians and work in partnership with others to deliver service and customer satisfaction. They apply commercial landscape management and exterior building and grounds maintenance expertise to maintain exterior spaces and foster a safe, clean environment.

Requirements

Landscaping, agriculture, lawn care, general maintenance, or related-field experience for Landscape Technician roles.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in extreme heat or cold and perform physical labor.
Experience operating and maintaining pressure-washing equipment for Landscape Technician roles.
Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems for Landscape Technician roles.
At least 21 years of age for Crew Driver Technician and Lead Landscape Technician roles.
For Crew Driver Technician roles, a valid state-issued driver’s license held for at least three years, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
For Crew Driver Technician roles, successful completion of a road test for the combination truck and trailer operated for the work.
For Crew Driver Technician roles, ability to obtain required state licensing or endorsements, if applicable.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles, a high school diploma or equivalent.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles, two years of experience in commercial landscaping or exterior building maintenance and leading teams.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles, a valid state-issued driver’s license and clean driving record.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles, no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions, or reckless-driving convictions involving alcohol or drugs, within the last three years.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles involving commercial motor vehicle driving, no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles involving commercial motor vehicle operation, no serious traffic violations, as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, in the last three years.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles involving commercial motor vehicle operation, no preventable accidents, as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, in the last three years.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles, successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification within 90 days of hire.
For Lead Landscape Technician roles, ability to read and speak English as required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities
