Express Technician - Mazda South
About The Position
McDonald Mazda South is seeking an Express Technician to perform vehicle service and repair work in accordance with repair orders, dealership requirements, and manufacturer specifications. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing automotive systems; testing vehicles and components with diagnostic tools and service equipment; and carrying out warranty repairs. The technician communicates with Service Advisors about additional service needs and provides estimates of the time required for additional repairs. Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Dexterity, including a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills and proficient computer competencies.
- Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer requirements.
- Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor when additional service is needed so customers can be informed.
- Provide an accurate estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
