About The Position

McDonald Mazda South is hiring an Express Technician to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with repair orders, dealership procedures, and manufacturer specifications. The technician will diagnose and service a range of automotive systems, conduct test drives and diagnostic checks, and communicate with Service Advisors about additional service needs and estimated repair times. The role is based in a close-knit, family-owned dealership environment focused on customer service, quality, and teamwork.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Dexterity, including a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Excellent customer service skills and computer proficiency.
Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer requirements.
Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate with the Service Advisor so customers are informed when additional service is needed.
Provide an accurate estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
