About The Position

Hendrick Volkswagen of Concord is hiring two Express Technicians to perform routine maintenance and express-lane services on Volkswagen vehicles. No Volkswagen experience is required; the company provides 100% paid Volkswagen factory training and ASE certifications. The role is suited to someone with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with performance pay plans, bonuses, and opportunities to advance as certifications and skills grow.

The position is based primarily in the service area and involves moving around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and safely operating tools and equipment. The work may involve loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service conditions. The technician regularly interacts with service advisors and the service manager. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn the Volkswagen platform.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including rotating Saturdays and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Some automotive experience or technical training is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform express-lane services, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and multi-point inspections.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on Volkswagen vehicles.
• Report necessary repairs accurately and promptly to the service advisor.
• Verify fluid levels and ensure vehicles are clean before returning them to customers.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Participate in required Volkswagen factory training and stay current on brand updates.
• Accurately record all hours worked in the company timekeeping system.
• Follow safety protocols, Safeguards rules, and company policies.
