About The Position

Hendrick Automotive Group is hiring two experienced Automotive Technicians for its Volkswagen dealership in Concord, North Carolina. The role is intended for technicians with Volkswagen or Audi experience, familiarity with the VAG platform, and a focus on precise diagnostics. Volkswagen or Audi certification is preferred; similar European-brand experience is also considered. Technicians diagnose and repair Volkswagen vehicles using ODIS and advanced OEM diagnostic tools, perform complex repairs and maintenance, and communicate repair status and recommendations to service advisors and customers. The position offers flat-rate pay based on Volkswagen certifications, skill level, and performance, with the posting stating $90,000+ per year and a flat-rate range of $30 per hour plus performance bonuses. Requirements

Proven dealership technician experience.
Familiarity with ODIS service diagnostic software and VAG platform systems.
Strong knowledge of Volkswagen electrical systems, ADAS, DSG transmissions, and the MQB platform.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work scheduled shifts, including rotating Saturdays and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Volkswagen or Audi certification is strongly preferred.
Volkswagen, Audi, or similar European-brand dealership experience is highly desirable.
ASE certification is preferred; Volkswagen or Audi OEM certification is a significant advantage.
Vocational or trade certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair Volkswagen vehicles using ODIS and advanced OEM diagnostic tools.
Perform complex repairs across Volkswagen engine, transmission, electrical, ADAS, and powertrain systems.
Conduct thorough inspections, alignments, and maintenance according to manufacturer standards.
Work with complex automotive electrical systems and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
Interpret Volkswagen technical schematics, technical service bulletins, and repair manuals accurately.
Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair status and recommendations.
Maintain accurate repair records and document all services performed.
Maintain CSI scores at or above company standards.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
Participate in required Volkswagen factory training and stay current on brand updates.
