About The Position

The Technician works in the Service Department and reports to the Service Manager. The role performs repair work specified on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards. Technicians road-test vehicles when required or refer them to a test technician. They support the company’s vision of being the best place to work and the best place for guests to do business, and its mission to build long-term relationships with associates and guests and make a positive difference in the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform work outlined in repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer them to a test technician.
• Communicate repair status and any additional work needed to the Service Advisor.
• Coordinate with the Parts Department regarding parts needed for repairs.
• Advise the Service Advisor if repair work changes the vehicle’s appearance or condition.
• Document all work completed and recommended on the repair order.
• Stay current with all mandated factory and dealership training.
• Maintain personal and company tools and equipment.
• Follow the Tony Group Standards: be positive and respectful, greet people within five feet, help guests or find someone who can, thank guests, and maintain a “Grand Opening Look, Daily.”
