Express Service Technician
About The Position
The Express Service Technician performs express lube duties on vehicles at Honda of Newnan. The role carries no direct supervisory responsibilities and is performed primarily in the service area. The technician follows express lube guidelines, completes routine fluid and filter services, reports needed repairs, and helps ensure vehicles are clean and properly checked before release. The role also requires accurate timekeeping, participation in required training, and compliance with company policies, safety rules, and Safeguards regulations. Candidates should have basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems, demonstrable mechanical skills, and technical training or comparable technical experience. A valid driver’s license is required. The position requires regular and predictable attendance; scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.

- Technical training or commensurate technical experience.

Responsibilities
- Follow express lube guidelines.
- Perform lube, oil, and filter changes, including draining and replacing oil and filters and lubricating joints such as idler arm steering knuckles, tie rod ends, and ball joints.
- Report necessary repairs to the service advisor.
- Install a completed LOF reminder sticker in the vehicle.
- Check battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant levels; refill as needed.
- Check fluid levels before releasing a vehicle to ensure they are proper.
- Ensure vehicles are clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
- Maintain CSI at or above company standards.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Participate in required training.
- Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
- Follow Safeguards rules and regulations and comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable safety rules.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
