About The Position

Handles customer enquiries and shipment documentation, following MSC guidelines. This role involves entering and monitoring shipment information through MSC's proprietary IT system, liaising with various stakeholders including shippers, consignees, government agencies, and overseas offices. The analyst will assume documentary and customer service responsibility for assigned shipments, maintain efficient ocean shipment documentation and correspondence, and establish positive relationships with customers. Key duties include efficiently routing files and shipments, providing timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding transportation milestones and shipment details, and observing corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries. The position also requires escalating unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate supervisor, generating potential solutions, and providing feedback on current corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies. Presence is required on-site 5 days per week, and other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • English: advanced
  • Strong attention to details
  • Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
  • Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Great team player
  • Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
  • Authorization to work in the U.S

  • Prior experience in supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, call center, administrative or clerical jobs

Responsibilities
