Handles customer enquiries and shipment documentation, following MSC guidelines. This role involves entering and monitoring shipment information through MSC's proprietary IT system, liaising with shippers, consignees, government agencies, and overseas offices. The analyst will assume documentary and customer service responsibility for assigned shipments, maintain efficient ocean shipments documentation and correspondence, and establish and maintain positive relationships with customers. Key duties include efficiently routing files and shipments, providing timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding transportation milestones and shipment details, and observing corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiries. The role also requires escalating unique or complex customer issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary, generating potential solutions to customer issues, and providing feedback on current corporate practices and metrics to support process efficiencies. The position requires presence on-site 5 days per week and performing other related duties as assigned.
