About The Position

Kramerbooks is an iconic, independent cafe and bookstore known for its delicious food and beverage program, and carefully curated selection of books. Our full-service cafe and bar, combined with our extended hours and phenomenal book selection, make Kramers a popular destination for a wonderfully eclectic group of guests.

Requirements

At least a year's experience at executing under pressure in a high-volume, full service environment
High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred
High energy and stamina
Able to work within a fast-paced, highly mobile environment
Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays
Able to perform essential functions and demonstrate competencies to company standards with reasonable accommodation
Able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location
If running drinks, must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, and must be certified in (or able to become certified in) responsible alcohol service in accordance with state or local laws

Responsibilities

delivering food and beverages to guests
clearing and cleaning tables, floors and service areas
completing side work tasks
ensuring the work area is organized
consistently providing warm, genuine and engaging customer service to all of our guests
