About The Position

As a PRN EX-ED Instructor, you will be a highly motivated and experienced Emergency Care Provider (ECP) with five (5) years of teaching experience in the field. You should be currently licensed as a Nurse, Paramedic, EMT, or Respiratory Therapist, and be able to articulate expectations to students while taking direction from senior instructors. This is a part-time, as-needed position with potential for instruction outside of typical business hours.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a Nurse, Paramedic, EMT, or Respiratory Therapist.
• Ability to articulate expectations to students.
• Ability to take direction from senior instructors.
• 1 year of experience.
• Ability to obtain Level 1 and 2 Instructor Academy within first 12 months of employment.
• BLS Instructor: National Registry, EMT State/Compact EMT License, BLS - AHA.
• ALS Instructor: National Registry, Paramedic State/Compact Paramedic License, BLS - AHA.
• CCALS Instructor: National Registry, Paramedic State/Compact Paramedic License with Critical Care Endorsement, BLS - AHA.
• Physician/Nurse/AP Instructor: MD / DO / NP / PA License, BLS - AHA.

Nice To Haves

• Five (5) years of teaching experience in the field.
• BLS - AHA (Preferred for ALS, CCALS, Physician/Nurse/AP Instructor).
• ACLS - AHA (Preferred for ALS, CCALS, Physician/Nurse/AP Instructor).
• PALS - AHA (Preferred for ALS, CCALS, Physician/Nurse/AP Instructor).
• PHTLS (Preferred for ALS, CCALS Instructor).
• ASLS (Preferred for CCALS Instructor).
• ATLS (Preferred for Physician/Nurse/AP Instructor).
• Teaching experience at the Collegiate and Adult/Continuing Education levels.
• Graduate of Best Practice Medicine (BPM) program.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean up the lab and skill stations for courses as required.
• Prepare prior to arrival at work to have the most accurate information.
• Follow lesson plans.
• Assist with and present Education lesson plans for various courses.
• Other duties as assigned.
