About The Position

ABC Supply Interiors is a specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. The Experienced Warehouse Material Handler pulls customer orders, loads orders onto company delivery trucks, and performs picking and loading duties using a forklift. The role also involves receiving and storing materials, maintaining warehouse organization and inventory accuracy, keeping products in saleable condition, and safely handling heavy or awkward loads. Duties may include helping deliver materials to customers or jobsites, including unloading and staging products as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Ability to be trained and licensed or certified by ABC Supply Interiors to operate forklift equipment.
• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of applicable building material products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Receive incoming building materials and place them into inventory.
• Organize and maintain the warehouse to use available storage space effectively and allow products to be retrieved quickly for shipment.
• Pull ordered material from inventory and stage it for pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain products in a quality and marketable condition.
• Keep accurate inventory records.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, including handling heavy and awkward loads.
• Estimate forklift load weights so delivery vehicles are loaded properly and are not overweight.
• Sort through products to remove defective material.
• Assist with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites as assigned, including unloading and staging products at jobsites.
