About The Position
This position involves operating various machines (manual and/or CNC) such as lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, and horizontal boring mills. The machinist will troubleshoot operations and take appropriate actions to correct any issues. They will also perform quality inspections, verifying that the dimensions of the workpiece are in accordance with drawing specifications. This role is located at the Oakland Industrial Park (OIP).
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in CNC Machining
- Must be able to understand written instructions
- Strong math skills are essential.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to work any shift
Nice To Haves
- Prior Mechanical experience such as Automotive Repair, Plant Maintenance, Machinery Installation/Repair is a plus.
- Successful completion of a technical/vocational program in Machining, Diesel Technology, Automotive, HVAC, Mechanical.
