About The Position

As a new home construction Carpenter, you will build, assemble, install, and repair residential construction components for new-home construction and remodeling projects. The role involves framing, structural, and finish carpentry, and requires reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and safely operating hand and power tools. You will work with a residential carpentry crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with tools, measurements, and construction plans.

Requirements

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift moderate to heavy materials as required, up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to perform work in indoor and/or outdoor environments, depending on the role.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in carpentry or a related trade.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or related environments.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements.
• Install, build, or repair structures and components using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Load, move, and organize materials as needed for projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and keep a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
