About The Position

Visiting Angels of Lowell is hiring experienced caregivers to serve clients throughout Northwest Arkansas, including Lowell, Bentonville, Rogers, and Centerton. Caregivers help improve clients’ quality of life and support their wellness in accordance with individualized care plans. The role includes personal care, companionship, household assistance, mobility support, medication reminders, and help with errands. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia and/or Alzheimer’s care are available to caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
Physical endurance for carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, such as background checks.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

Nice To Haves

Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia and/or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients while following applicable dietary constraints.
Handle light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle.
